The Think Tank, led by the Colombian Pharmacology Association with the participation of other Colombian associations and educational institutions, aims to study, analyze, and reflect on regulatory aspects related to public health in Colombia. To this end, it identifies opportunities for improvement and produces information that supports the optimization of the activities of institutions related to the sector.
The Think Tank makes available its second reflection and recommendation document on the topic "Management of chronic non-cancer pain" in which the Colombian Pharmacology Association, the Colombian Clinical Pharmacology Association, the Colombian Association of Critical Medicine and Intensive Care, and the Epidemiology Association of Colombia participated, as a guest association: Colombian Palliative Care Association
The Think Tank recognizes the vital importance of opioid medications, as well as the relevance of proper pain management in the public health arena.
It is essential to emphasize that inadequate management of chronic pain can have significant physical, psychological, social, and spiritual repercussions for the patient.
